About Me
Welcome to Art with Mrs. Kimble! My favorite part of my job is that I get to teach young artists every single day! I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education. I have taught High School, Middle School and been blessed to teach Elementary Art since 1990. I have taught in both Wayne and Wilson County.
My husband, Richard, and I have 3 children and 1 son-in-law. We are excited about having a new son-in-law this November!
I love animals, and talk about my fur babies a lot in class. Our virtual art room has a mascot, Ellie Mae…, who is always looking for hard workers, good listeners and artist that don’t give up when they make mistakes. She might make appearances in my videos. Please be on the lookout for some great artwork from your student! We will study many famous artists from around the world this year, and will always put their names on the backs of our masterpieces.

After more than 30 years of printed publication, in 2016, WCPS began publishing its annual Wayne Collection online. The digital book highlights student artwork and written work from every school. Please take a look at pages 186- 232 to see Fremont Stars Literary and Visual Art!
The Wayne Collection was first produced in 1985 as a literary/art contest and magazine. The publication was designed to give students recognition in the areas of writing and art. Over time the publication evolved from a contest into a broader compilation of student work, which were selected by teachers at each school.
