Love Others

Day Four: the hard stuff.

When we think about loving others, our mind probably jumps to the people we love the most: our mom, our dad, our best friend. They are so nice to us; they’re pretty easy to love! But, as followers of Jesus, the bible says that we are supposed to take it a step further. We are supposed to love our… enemies. I know, right? Now your brain is jumping right to… you know… THEM. Those people who drives you nuts. Who was the person who popped into your mind first? Write that name down, then read Luke 6:27-36. Draw a picture or write down something you can do to show that person the love of Christ (even if they don’t deserve it). Maybe you have to apologize to them. Ask an adult for help, if you need it.

“Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.” Luke 6:35-36
