PLEASE NOTE: The following tutorial applies to Staff and NOT Students. For student instructions, please click here.
If you have forgotten your password or otherwise cannot access your account, please contact the ICT department and request a password reset.
After your password has been reset, you will then have to change your password. Changing your password varies whether you are onsite or offsite. You can use one of the following methods on how to change your password:
If Onsite, log in to a WCCS computer (either a desktop or a staff laptop). Log in using your WCCS username and temporary password provided by the ICT department. You will be prompted to create your own password. Please note, when the password creation screen requests an "Old password" it refers to the password assigned by the member of ICT team.
If Offsite, log in to the Outlook Web application (OWA). See the how to do this with the method below.
If you do not current have access to your account, please see the above instructions about "Changing your password if you can't get into your account".
In a web browser, Go to https://outlook.office.com and sign in using your WCCS email and password.
Click on your account profile icon in the top right of the screen. Then click "view account". This will open a new tab that may require you to sign in again.
In the password box on the 'View account' page, click on 'CHANGE PASSWORD'. This should open a new page with a prompt you to change your password
In the "New password" textbox enter a new password. Your new password has to meet the following requirements:
It must contain 8 characters or more
It must contain at least one character from 3 of the following 4 categories
A lowercase letter
An uppercase letter
A number
A symbol
It cannot be the same as a password you have used previously at WCCS.
It cannot contain any part of your name.
It SHOULD NOT be the same as a password you use for another account (e.g. Personal email account, personal social media account, personal bank account. Using the same password across multiple accounts greatly increases your chances of a privacy breach.
In the "Confirm new password" field, manually type in the password you have come up with. DO NOT copy/paste it from the previous field.
Once the password has correctly been put in Click on "Submit" and you would have successfully changed your password.
Log into a school computer or laptop. Then on the keyboard press the key's Ctrl, Alt and Delete similatanously.
Next in the menu that appears click "Change a password".
In the "Old password" textbox, enter your current password.
Then In the "New password" textbox enter a new password. Your new password has to meet the following requirements:
It must contain 8 characters or more
It must contain at least one character from 3 of the following 4 categories
