When you log on to the school network, you will have access to different locations for the storage of files. The main storage locations are the X drive, SharePoint drives and OneDrive.
X drive is a shared storage location with several different subfolders to which different departments have access to view and/or edit depending on requirements. You should use the X drive to store content that needs to be accessed and shared with other staff members. X drive can only be accessed at School and can no longer be accessed remotely.
SharePoint Drives are a shared cloud-based storage, these are shared between a faculty or department and cannot be accessed by anyone outside your faculty and department. You should use your faculty or department SharePoint drive to store content that needs to be accessed and shared with other staff members within that faculty or department.
OneDrive is your personal cloud storage that no other staff member can access, use this to store content that does not need to be shared with others. The "Documents" and "Desktop" folders on School computers are linked to OneDrive, so any content stored in these locations on School computers is part of your OneDrive. Your personal WCCS OneDrive can be accessed from any school computer you log on to or over on a web browser using your personal device. For more information click here.
Both X drive, SharePoint and OneDrive utilise an automated backup system known as "Previous Versions". For instructions on how to access this, click here:
