The Wrestlers Creed

It is not that I have fought and won, or have fought and lost, it is the fact that I have fought. Fighting not only with my opponent, but also with myself. Fighting with my demons of fear.

Fear that I will embarrass myself. Fear that I have not worked hard enough. Fear that I am alone. Fear that I will lose. Facing these fears, I embrace all of the courage, all of the sacrifice, and all of the determination of those who have come before me and of those who will follow me in this struggle.

I will succeed in all that I do because these trials have made me strong. Not only of body but also of mind. I have stepped into the circle of struggle and have emerged victorious with Myself.
