The West Babylon School Community is happy to work in cooperation with both the PTA and SEPTA.
SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association) is a district-wide Special Education Parent Teacher Association which meets frequently to ensure a free appropriate public education for children with special needs, and the gifted and talented. West Babylon SEPTA works to promote a rewarding educational and social experience for all children. SEPTA strives " to elevate community awareness, acceptance and support of all our special need students " and "to enrich parents and families with valuable information, lectures and support groupings. "
The PTA ( Parent Teacher Association) is the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, providing parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child, as well as helping schools and the school community create the safest, most supportive, and academically engaging environment for our students.
Please consider joining and supporting these organizations, who do so much for our students, their families, and the school community.
Upcoming Meetings and Pretensions can be found on the SEPTA website. Please consult the PTA/SEPTA web sights for exciting presentations that are aimed at informing parents, faculty, administration, and students about current issues in special education.
