In Spanish class we will learn the vocabulary and grammar to explore more into the language and be able to read and write in the target language. The goal is not only for the students to be able to learn the new language but to also appreciate it and use it.
Mastering vocabulary is not just important, but crucial in learning a foreign language. Improving our vocabulary has a direct, positive impact on our capacity to build up our language proficiency as a whole. A rich vocabulary makes the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing easier to perform. Finally, improving our vocabulary means improving our capacity to learn more.
Reading offers students a wider range of vocabulary and grammar which essentially supports and feeds the brain with the correct language structures. We will center our attention on comprehension and reading strategies.
Writing helps to organize and put together our ideas. We will practice our writing skills by practicing the grammar taught during the lessons. Students will write and read aloud their answers. Students will also practice their pronunciation in the target language.
