Digital Citizenship Curriculum
The WBAIS Digital Citizenship curriculum is integral to supporting students as they learn to use technology skills effectively, efficiently, and appropriately in school and in life. More than just teaching how to point and click, we want our students to know how their technology behaviours can affect themselves and those around them--and how to use these powerful tools for positive outcomes.
Our curriculum is based upon Common Sense Media's Digital Citizenship lessons and Teaching Tolerance. Each lesson takes on real challenges and digital dilemmas that students face today, giving them the skills and dispositions they need to succeed and thrive as digital learners, leaders, and citizens in our interconnected world.
The curriculum is framed around six digital topics that pose opportunities and challenges for young children, tweens, and teens today.
