We believe…
Red - Participation in the Hockey Marathon is a privilege and not a right.
Blue - Good sportsmanship is an essential component for participation.
Red -It is good to compete and be a part of a team.
Blue - A great teammate helps and inspires others, plays hard, and is unselfish.
Red -The Hockey Marathon is about building character, perseverance, and
friendships.
Blue - Playing the game and having fun is more important than winning and
losing.
Red -Booing, putdowns, and displays of poor sportsmanship have no place in
our hockey marathon.
Blue - At the end of the marathon it does not matter who is red or blue.
As a participant…
Red - I am in control of my actions, attitude, and behavior at all times – on and
off the court.
Blue - I respect my teammates, my opponents, and the referee. I do not argue,
criticize, or put down others.
Red - I win and lose with class and dignity and I shake my opponent’s hand at
the end of the contest.
Blue - I will participate and compete to the best of my abilities.
Red – GO RED!
BLUE – GO BLUE!
