Check that you are connected to wifi
Do you see the wifi symbol in the top right corner next to your battery life indicator?
If not, go to Settings and select Wi-Fi.
Select your home wifi from the list of available networks.
If you don't see your network listed, you will need to troubleshoot your home wifi network.
2. Force close your app and reopen it
Double click on your Home Screen button.
You should see a grid of recently used apps appear on your screen.
Swipe up on any of the apps you see to close out of the app.
Tap the Home Screen button one time to return to the home screen,.
Tap on the app you want to use to reopen it.
3. Do a hard restart of your iPad
Press and hold the Power button until the slider appears on the screen.
Drag the slider from left to right to turn your iPad off.
Once the iPad is completely off, press and hold the Power button again until it starts up and you see the Apple logo on the screen.
4. Reinstall your app from Self Service
5. For Canvas, reset the cache
Open Settings.
Scroll the left sidebar until you get to the Student app. Tap on Student.
Toggle the "Reset cache on next launch" to on.
Resetting your cache will clear all information on your device that is specific to the app, including login details, some annotated documents, and app settings.
Notes:
After enabling the Reset Cache on Next Launch option, you must force close and re-launch the Student app for your cache to reset.
The Reset Cache on Next Launch will toggle to the Off position after the app has launched.
Did you power the iPad off and on again?
Hold down the power button on the top of the iPad for approximately 7 seconds.
Swipe the Slide to Power Off bar to the right. Wait for the iPad to fully power down.
Once powered down, hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds to start up the iPad.
Forget your network and reconnect
Open up the Settings app.
Tap Wi-Fi.
Tap on the name of your home network.
Tap Forget this network.
Reconnect to your home network.
Reset your Network settings on the iPad. (This will cause the iPad to clear out everything it knows, so you'll want to have your home network password handy. Go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to your network.)
Open up the Settings app.
Tap General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Reconnect to your home network after the device reboots.
Is your wireless signal strength too low? Are all wireless bars showing?
Move closer to your router
Re-locate your router to a more centralized location
Have you ever connected to your home network? Were any changes made on your home network recently?
Try undoing any recent changes to see if the iPad works again
Are parental controls enabled on your router?
They will have to be disabled or if possible, exempt the iPad from them
Since each router manufacturer is different, you will need to check the owner's manual of your router for direction on changing parental controls
Does your router require authentication before a successful connection can be made?
This must be disabled, or if possible, exempt the iPad from having to authenticate
Make sure the date and time are correct.
Open up the Settings app.
Tap General > Date & Time.
If Set Automatically is toggled on (green), then you need to toggle it off (gray).
Manually set the correct time.
Verify that the internet works.
Toggle Set Automatically back on (green).
Javascript must be turned on
Open up the Settings app.
Tap Safari > Advanced.
Verify Javascript is toggled on (green).
Are you able to get on in a different location?

With Screen Time, you can set allowances and limits for your app use, schedule downtime, and more. You can change or turn off any of these settings at any time.
Set downtime
You can block apps and notifications during periods when you want time away from your devices.
Go to Settings > Screen Time.
Tap Turn On Screen Time, tap Continue, then tap This is My iPad.
Tap Downtime, then turn on Downtime.
Select Every Day or Customize Days, then set the start and end times.
You can set a time limit for a category of apps (for example, YouTube ) and for individual apps.
Go to Settings > Screen Time.
If you haven’t already turned on Screen Time, tap Turn On Screen Time, tap Continue, then tap This is My iPad.
Tap App Limits, then tap Add Limit.
Select one or more app categories.To set limits for individual apps, tap the category name to see all the apps in that category, then select the apps you want to limit. If you select multiple categories or apps, the time limit you set applies to all of them.
Tap Next, then set the amount of time allowed.To set an amount of time for each day, tap Customize Days, then set limits for specific days.
To set a limit for more apps or categories, tap Choose Apps, then repeat step 5.
When you finish setting limits, tap Add to return to the App Limits screen.
To temporarily turn off all app limits, tap App Limits on the App Limits screen. To temporarily turn off a limit for a specific category, tap the category, then tap App Limit. To remove a limit for a category, tap the category, then tap Delete Limit.
