DRAMA CLUB
Drama Club is a fun and dynamic way to get involved with Wayzata Theatre throughout the year. While membership in Drama Club is not required to participate in Wayzata Theatre productions, we highly encourage all students interested in all aspects of theatre (performance, tech, and beyond) to join Drama Club and connect with the Wayzata Theatre community as a whole! Drama Club meets monthly throughout the school year in addition to social events, volunteering, field trips, and more!
Students should join the Drama Club Canvas Page to get updates on all things WHS Theatre. From audition information to events like movie nights, it has everything you need!
Check out our available in-school courses! Sign up using the Course Registry when picking classes for the upcoming school year.
COSTUME CREW
No show is complete without some spectular threads! If you want to help out, sign up for Costume Crew on our Canvas Page. Joining this crew will give you the opportunities to sew costumes, work some wigs, apply stage makeup, and other related roles!
TECH CREW
Want to work behind-the-scenes? Join Tech Crew by signing up on our Canvas Page! Joining this crew will give you opportunities such as helping build sets, design lighting and sound, set props, be a part of the stage mangement team, and more!
PLAYPEN
Check the CALENDAR for the next Playpen meeting!
PlayPen is Wayzata High School Theatre's ongoing play development club. We meet throughout the year to help developing writers continue to hone their craft and create brand new works of playwriting. We partner with WHS Theatre Drama Club to produce the 24 Hour Play Festival in the winter and a festival of student-produced one acts in the spring called Playgrounds.
PlayPen is lead by WHS Theatre students and works closely with Drama Club. The student leaders for the 2025-2026 season are Cassidy Nabedrick, Elise Berndt, and Owen Piatkowski.
