8th grade

Welcome to 8th grade Choir!

Thank you so much for enrolling your student in choir! We are looking forward to a great year of music making in choir class. All music classes are 100% distance learning at the start of this year, and we will meet via zoom at their assigned class times.

Students will need their iPad for all choir class learning. For recorded assignments, students will need access to two devices: one to play an accompaniment track and one for recording. Canvas will be used for all information, assignments, and directions.

8th grade choir will build upon skills learned in 7th grade choir. We will continue to study elements of music theory, solfege, sight singing, composition, musical elements, and music appreciation. As we navigate a year that is less than ideal, we look forward to finding creative ways to create joy, connection, and support through music.
