Who can compete in the Middle School State Meet?
Any middle school athlete (6th, 7th, 8th grade) on an official team roster that did not compete in their high school team's section meet earlier in the week. No club team or unattached athletes are allowed. Be sure your middle school athletes are eligible to compete. Check with your school's athletic director if there is any uncertainty.
What is the format of the JV Season Finale?
Teams may enter as many athletes as they would like (no minimum or maximum) so long as they did not compete in their section meet. Entries will be sorted by time from athletic.net and placed in a race according to their entry time. This will ensure as competitive races as possible for all athletes. The races will be split with approximately 200 runners in each. Currently, there are slated to be 3 boys races and 2 girls races. Updates will be communicated if the number of races changes. Results will be merged of each gender's races for team scoring purposes.
What is the format of the Middle School State Meet?
Each competing team is allowed a maximum of 7 runners per gender. Teams will be placed into a race based on the MSHSL class their high school team is a part of (3 classes per gender). Middle school teams that are not affiliated with a high school team will be placed in the smallest class (Class A).
