EXTENSION IF YOU HAVE TIME:
You were able to escape from East Berlin! You started a successful career as an graffiti artist in England. Years after the Berlin Wall fell, an organization asked for you to create a piece of graffiti to add to a memorial for the Berlin Wall, and you agree to do it. On the back of your notes sheet, create a drawing or stylized word that EITHER represents what life was like in East Berlin (when the wall was up), or what it means for the wall to go down. Be creative!
