The only rule in our library is to be RESPECTFUL!
The only rule in our library is to be RESPECTFUL!
Respect can be demonstrated in many ways. Scholars will learn about this during the first few weeks of school. We will discuss all the ways that respect can be shown in the library.
Some examples are:
- treat everyone with kindness
- take care of your book (no bending, ripping, writing in it)
- listen to each other
- come in quietly and wait for instructions
- use the computers in a gentle fashion
- raise your hand when you like to share your ideas
- wait your turn to share your ideas

- no food or drink near the books
- make sure your hands are clean
- turn pages carefully and do not bend the pages
- use a bookmark
- keep your books in your "book bag"
- do not write or draw in the books
- if books are lost or damaged, please let Mrs V know
