What shows are coming up?

Our Fall show, The Play That Goes Wrong! Performances are December 1, 2, and 3rd at 7 pm each night in the Auditorium at Wayne Hills!

What we do

The Wayne Hills Theater Workshop produces two shows a year: a drama in the fall and a musical in the spring. We rehearse throughout the Fall and Winter to prepare for those two shows, and we’re always looking for people of every shape, size and skillset to help us put on the best shows we can.

Our program began in the 1960s when Wayne Hills opened, and we have been providing the students at Wayne Hills opportunities to sing, dance, and act since we began.

We've done shows such as The Addams Family, Little Shop of Horrors, Once On This Island, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, Legally Blonde, and more!

What can you do?

You can: Act, sing, dance, build sets, paint sets, make props, control the props, do costumes, hair or makeup, work on advertising, the display board, work crew, do lights and sound, hand out programs, stage manage, play music in the orchestra…. The possibilities are endless. Not sure what some of those things are… just ask!

Who can be involved? ANYONE!

●Everyone has something they are good at and theatre needs all kinds of skills

●You don’t need to be a great actor, singer, dancer, whatever. You just need to be you.

○If you do have super talents, great! We’ll take that too!

●You will make a ton of cool friends in all grades and from all walks of life!

●We love meeting new people!

●Seniority is NEVER used for casting. We don’t care how old you are or how long you’ve been hanging around Hills. We care who is right for the part. Many Freshmen have had leading roles.

We also have opportunities off stage: sound, lighting, crew, painting, construction. It’s all equally important to the show!

Why should I come out to audition?

  • Everyone is welcome!

  • Everyone has something they are good at, and we need all kinds of skills to make a production great!

  • You don't have to be a great actor, dancer, or singer; You just need to be YOU!

  • Your theatre friends are your family. There is something so special about the bond with a cast and crew.

  • Your age does not matter with casting; freshman to senior, everyone is welcome (even first timers!)

  • Most importantly...THEATRE IS FUN!
