Theunis Dey Web Design

For the Theunis Dey After School Web Design Program, students created their very own websites using Google Sites. This page provides links to those students' final published websites.

To start, students were provided with a lesson in digital etiquette, online safety, and how the internet works so they could safely enter the world wide web.

Students were then asked to create a "how-to" or "all about" website. This opportunity allowed students to learn how to confidently navigate their way around Google Apps for Education, including Google Docs and Forms, and of course, using Google Sites as their platform to show off their newly acquired tech-savvy skills.

Creating their websites also provided these students with the opportunity to express their artistic abilities through web design, by choosing different themes, fonts, background images, and making original content to be displayed on their individual sites.

Through the "how-to" format, students are able to share and teach others in our learning community a topic that they are knowledgeable and passionate about.

We hope you enjoy viewing the hard work that each student put into creating their websites and learn something along the way!
