Those interested in radio or tv broadcasting, those with an excellent speaking voice, and those interested in theater arts. We are looking for students to join and strictly do the pledge, with the intention of developing into broadcasters for the Video Morning Announcements (VMAs).

What we do
The Masque and Gavel Club members provide daily morning announcements in school over the loudspeaker. In addition to the traditional opening line: "Good Morning Wayne Hills, would you please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance" and closing line: "this has been (student name) and (student name). Have a great day Wayne Hills and someone will be with you tomorrow," these announcements have traditionally included all important information from extra-curricular activities, clubs, sports, etc. and on occasion, words of inspiration to staff and students.
Members meet once per month to offer constructive criticism to each other and to accept feedback from the advisor. During Covid, announcers will do the pledge and refer students to our Video Morning Announcements. Eventually, new club members will have the option to transition to video announcements, but there will always be time for the pledge carved into our day at Wayne Hills.
