History:

Beta is an honors program with an emphasis on leadership and community service. It was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris. Waynesboro formed its first Beta Chapter in January 1948, with Mrs. Snyder and Miss McGee as sponsors. Now 76 years later we still follow the same principles set forth then, leading by serving others.

Requirements:

WHS requires all members to have a 3.25 weighted GPA.  During the 2024-2025 school year members need to have Ten hours total.  Two of these are individual, and the other Eight must be club-sponsored service activities. All hours must be submitted on interview accordingly. Members should check the WPS Rooms App for the most up-to-date information.
