All About Us

We are an energetic group of 14 third graders. We know this year will have its challenges as we learn to navigate the "big jump" from 2nd Grade to 3rd Grade.  This year we will earn letter grades, like As, Bs, and Cs on our report cards instead of CAs, Ps, and NIs, and we will also take the Ohio State Reading and Math Test (OST) for the first time!  While we know that there will be things that will be difficult at times, we also know there will be many fun and exciting things as well, and are up to the task! We are in for a great year!

What a good-looking bunch!

Meet the Teacher :

Who is Ms. Schlabach?

Hello!  I’m Luann Schlabach, a list-making, tea-drinking, book-loving, follower of Christ, and the 7th and 8th grade teacher at Mount Eaton Elementary.  I began my teaching career many moons ago.  My first position was a long-term (7 month) substitute Title 1 position at Winesburg Elementary school in the East Holmes school district, before I was hired by Southeast to teach 2nd grade.  I have also taught third, fourth and fifth grades here at Mount Eaton.

Hello!  I’m Luann Schlabach, a list-making, tea-drinking, book-loving, follower of Christ, and the third grade teacher at Mount Eaton Elementary. I graduated from Dalton High School and Rosedale Bible College and then earned my teaching degree from Ashland University (Go Eagles!).  I am excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year.  I have also taught second, fourth, fifth and seven and eighth grade!

Although, teaching is my passion,    I also enjoy many other things.   I love reading a good mystery book on a rainy afternoon.  I love to listen to old-time rock and roll and classic country music (The Eagles and Johnny Cash are my favorites) and I love to travel, especially to warm places like Florida!

I am not married, but I do have a special someone in my life, named Kevin.  We enjoy doing many things together.  We are both looooooong suffering Cleveland sports fans.  We also love the Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoy going to concerts, movies, being outside, and just hanging out together with our families and friends.

GO BUCKS!
