STAR is Lynhurst’s school-wide Title I program. We provide supplemental reading intervention to ensure targeted students have access to reading Strategies That Achieve Results, helping to activate and accelerate learning by meeting individual student needs and increasing understanding of grade-level curriculum in all subject areas.
Our goal is that all LHC students grow into lifelong readers, thinkers, and learners. We encourage all Lynhurst students to read often and to enjoy reading by providing engaging reading materials at school, take-home books to build personal libraries, and opportunities for reading challenges throughout the school year.
Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center follows the parent involvement guidelines in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 and distributes this policy to all parents/guardians via ParentSquare. This document is also available at STAR events and on the LHC Title I website.
