Dress Code: Students will dress in School and Job Site appropriate clothing. Students should not wear
any clothes that identify the school they are from. Safety Glasses, Hard hats and Work Boots are required
throughout the competition. Any contestant who does not have PPE will not be allowed to participate.
Carpentry Build Description:
Carpentry contestants will build a house mock-up that may include any of the following: A floor with
sheathing, single stringer cutout, multiple rough openings, common rafters metal framing and drywall.
Students will have 4 hours to complete as much of the project as possible. It will be scored on Accuracy
to plan, Neatness/Craftsmanship, Safety/Organization and Accuracy of measurements for each section of
the project (Floors walls etc.). The top 5 scorers will advance to state. Any students who do not
participate in deconstruction will be disqualified!
