STEM Leadership Team Staff and Students

Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center (BDNGC), a unique school on the west side of Indianapolis, maintains seven academies (teams) with varying focuses to prepare the 1200+ ninth grade students to pursue their purpose and passion during their high school careers. Opened in 2005, Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center made a primary focus of providing a solid foundation to high school, thus boosting the graduation rate as students entered 10th grade on track to graduate. The aim of the school is still to provide that solid foundation while guiding students in pursuit of the future. At BDNGC, staff strive to assist students in finding a path through the multitude of options, not only in grades 10-12, but beyond in college, training, and careers. The connection to Area 31 Career Center in Wayne Township provides students with multitudes of choices in training for careers and interests. Situated on the west side of Indianapolis, Wayne Township is a diverse and thriving community, continually seeking to bring businesses to the area to provide jobs for the nearly 150,000 residents. Beyond the borders of the township, residents have access to the greater Indianapolis area for work and recreation.
