Text Book Assistance Application

All families need to complete the text book assistance application each school year.

Dear multilingual families,

Our annual free and reduced textbook applications are due! Please complete the application by going to schoolcafe.com . Completing the application may save you the fees as listed below. Additionally, completing the application helps secure Title I funding. The funding allows Title I staff to continue the important work they do supporting students who may be below grade level in certain subjects.

More families qualify than you might expect so please complete the application as soon as possible. See the document and step by step instructions below for information on how to complete the application. If you have questions or would prefer a paper application, please stop by school or contact your local parent liaison.

How to Apply for Textbook Assistance

Go online to SchoolCafe.com

Choose your language in the upper right corner of drop down menu

Create an account or Log in

To Create an account

Select your State Indiana

School District Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township

Click Go to my District

Click Create a new account

Follow the instructions to create your account - Write down your login and password Once to the Dashboard Click on Apply for Benefits (not Add a Student)

Read or scroll through the Household Letter Click NEXT

Confirm Applicant Information Click Save Applicant Information

Certify Page - Check BOX

Click Next

Now click Add a Student

Fill in student information

Answer two questions

Click Add this Student

Click Add a Student again until ALL Wayne students have been entered

Click Next

Assistance: Enter your Case # or click NO and NEXT

Parent name will pop up

Enter ALL income and frequency received by this parent

Click Add this Member

Enter information AND income for EACH household member

Click Add Household Member to add each additional person (and their income) living with the students (yes, babies and grandparents too)

Click Next

REVIEW Click Next

Optional Info

Click Next

Enter SSN

Check BOX

Click Sign

Click Submit my Application

Write down your Application Number #________________________________and Date ______________________

You will receive an approval/denial email/letter once your application has been processed. Make sure your email address is correct in Skyward.
