Bulletin For wednesday November 20


  • A West Point United States Military Academy cadet will be coming to the high school on Monday, November 25th during 1st hour. If you have questions about joining the military or want to learn more about West Point please sign up in the Guidance Office.

  • HANDBOOK HINTS: Attention students, on Monday the 18th, faculty will be focusing on the backpack rule. This policy was adopted by the Board of Education for your safety and security. Backpacks need to be 19 by 15 by 2 inches. Any backpacks larger than these dimensions should be placed in your locker. Again, these are not new rules, just reminders

  • Come see the play Radium Girls on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23 at 7pm. There will be a matinee showing Sunday, November 24 at 3pm. Tickets are $3 for students and seniors or $5 general admission and can be purchased at the door. See you there!

  • Key Club will be meeting on Thursday, November 21. We will be meeting from 2:40-3:40 in B205

  • Attention Culture Club Enthusiasts! Did you know that most of our exchange students are fluent in 2-5 languages? Start your journey toward becoming a polyglot by learning common phrases in French, Swedish, and German this Friday November 22 during Pride Time in the Media Center.

  • The Snow Club clean up volunteer time has to be changed to Monday, November 25. Students who would like to borrow equipment from the school should plan on helping at the MS on Monday after school. Contact Mr. Brown or Mr. Braginton with questions

Daily Sports Report


If any girls have anything in the varsity girls locker room, it needs to be removed by Friday. Maintenance in changing locker combos on Monday so everything must be out.

The Boys Varsity Hockey season opener is Friday 11/22 @ Forest Hills Central at 8:00 pm

This season’s home opener is Saturday 11/23 vs Grandville @ 4:00. All students receive free entry to all home games with student ID. The first 150 high school students will receive a BC Hockey Carhart beanie with student ID.

The Debate Team traveled to the Groves Falcon Debate Invitational last Saturday. In true Wayland Debate fashion they came away with the WIN!!


Eli Merren took 1st place, Jamie Murray placd 4th, Maddy Probst took 9th, Sam VerStrate plaed 20th, Savannah Weber took 21st and Rylie Steuer took 22nd


Carissa Yerxa took 1st place, Summer Morrison placed 4th and Cody James placed 17th. Congratulations!
