Juniors & Seniors - There will be a Work-Based Learning meeting on October 8th during PRIDE Time. This is when 'work' is part of your school schedule. The work must align with your future career. If this is something you want to hear more about, email Mrs. Dole at dolet@waylandunion.org to be invited

The deadline to sign up for an AP Test is October 20th
Juniors & Seniors - If you want to visit Grand Valley State University with us on Thursday, October 16, you have to sign up in the Guidance Office with Mrs. Mulder. Permission slips are due back TODAY. No exceptions! You must be in good academic and behavior standing to go.
Are you interested in designing innovative parts that will be used all over the world? Or, are you interested in building products and manufacturing? Please join us on October 28 for a field trip to Parker-Hannifin in Otsego to see how parts get made from design to delivery. You will get a close-up, real-life look at a manufacturing plant in action! This field trip is open to ALL grade levels. Spaces are limited, so please sign up soon!

The merch for Family, Friends, and Heroes will be sold starting TODAY at both lunches, and all Family, Friends, and Heroes events. There will be red t-shirts sold for the community and white t-shirts sold for the student section. These shirts will be $15 each and will get you free admission into the game.
We will also be selling Family, Friends, and Hero temporary tattoos which have the Folds of Honor logo on them for $1.50 each. We also have red, white, and blue beads, regular or star beads for $1 each. The final piece of merchandise we’re selling are $1 Folds of Honor bracelets. Make sure to buy your merch before it sells out!
This year, Wayland’s 4th Annual Family. Friends. Heroes. Charity Football Game fundraiser will also include soccer and volleyball. Here are the dates

Last night the Wayland Debate team hosted the second West Michigan Legislative Debate League competing against 5 other schools. Five Wayland debaters placed in the top 10. Alyssa Varney took 6th place, Alex Oosterhouse & Eleanor Pogodzinski tied for 5th, and Gillain Klug tied Portage Northern for 2nd place. Alex Oosterhouse also won the top presiding officer award.
