Hello 3rd graders!
This week in lessons we will:
Warm up with some rhythm patterns on open strings. Try them at home (see video below)!
Review #89 Bile 'em Cabbage down. We will review both the A and B part (remember, basses have the fun "slap bass" part for B!), then review the fancy ending (D A A B A rest C# D). We will then play the entire song! And we'll review the improvisation that goes with it.
Review #88 2 measures at a time, echo after the leader. We will have students get to try leading each part, then will perform the whole song together!
Finish labeling 91A if you didn't do it at home while each instrument section plays a note reading game! (Try the note reading game below!)
Review 91A together one section at a time, then play the whole thing! Practice Part B for next time if you haven't yet!
The assignment for next week is:
If you haven't already, really master #88, 89 and 91 part A for our concert. Now really learn 91 part B. If you would like an extra challenge, try #73 Buckeye Salute!
Keep practicing your note reading with your flashcards!
Try Name that Note (below) at home!
