Week of 9/22

Hello 4th graders!  

This week in lessons, we:

• Reviewed the new low notes G, A, B and C and played a G scale.  

• Practiced reading our new notes using flashcards!  Keep these in your binder or case.

• Reviewed a few exercises from last week

• Review #101 (Baa Baa Black Sheep) and played different parts in groups

• Started 102, working on recognizing the new notes and looking for patterns.

• In orchestra, we tried French Folk Song with harmonies and really started to dig in to Sailor's Song.   We also handed out a new piece, Hunter's Chorus; see below to listen to it!

Assignment for next week: Review page 27!  Also, Sailor's Song measures 7-15, and Hunter's' Chorus measures 1-11.   Try using a practice schedule (handed out this week!). If you lost it, you can print a new one below.
