Wayland Strings - Week 14 pg. 34

Hello 4th graders!

This week we are continuing to work on the keys of D, G and C Major. Here's what we're doing in lessons:

Echoing a few patterns of whole and half steps

Reviewing #135, C Major Scale
Sightreading/analyzing #137 Oak Hollow
Trying #138: both right and WRONG (with F#s)
Listening to and (if time) starting, or at least looking through #139
Reviewing the key signature on page 35 -- G Major, which combines finger patterns since F is sharp, but C is not! We might play Bingo for fun as a speed showdown, and we likely listened to some more Olympic Ring tryouts!

This week, we will also start a new orchestra piece, called Classic Sinfonia.

Here is a recording of it where you can see the conductor score which has all the parts together. It's a little slow, but you can speed it up by clicking on the "gear" and changing the playback speed!

It's a little faster. Pretty cool, huh?
