Hello 5th graders!
This week, we:
reviewed the F major scale, which has one flat in the key. Start and end on F natural and play B flats!
reviewed how to play the note E flat on the D string, and played some exercises on pg. 22-23 to practice this
reviewed the CUT we made in Countryside (cut m. 16-23), and played through all of our concert tunes, really focusing on dynamics
Remember that a E flat is one half step LOWER than a E. So you can picture it like this:
D (open)
E flat (extend 1st finger backwards)
E (on the tape)
Practice going back and forth between D, E flat and E on the D string! Can you find E flat on your C or A string?
Your assignment is:
review pg. 22-23
review ALL concert tunes! Countryside, Dragon Chasing Day, Shadow Fire, Jingle Bell Rock
