Hello 3rd graders!
Here’s what we did this week in class:
Reviewed Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb. Students who have been practicing these tunes for a few weeks seemed really confident and comfortable! At this point these should be starting to feel easy! We discovered that if we play the DAD song and Hot Cross Buns at the same time, it creates a nice duet!
Reviewed pgs. 6-7 in the book
Played We Will Rock You! Reviewed proper playing position and how to play the notes D, E, F#, G. Then performed these notes for the teacher individually/in small groups for feedback!
Played a bit of pg. 8 in the book and realized that #19 is the same as Mary Had a Little Lamb!
Learned about stepping vs. skipping patterns in music, and got a worksheet to help us with our note reading. Finish the back portion at home! Our new songs #21 Seminole Chant & #22 Lightly Row incorporate some steps!
finish worksheet & pages 8-9
