Hello 3rd Graders!
We are getting close to our concert ... keep working hard so that you feel super confident! This week, we will:
Warm up with a D scale in a round
Review Frere Jacques and the new low A ending, and try playing it in a round
Review Lightly Row (can you make it sound like a lullaby?) -- anyone who has learned part B can play it for some beautiful harmony!
Review our newest tune, Cripple Creek, and hear some red karate belt tryouts! Remember, for this one you need to be able to play it nice and fast. Some classes will make it connect with Bile 'em Cabbage Down, others will do this after break. Can you make your du-de's the same speed for both songs? And... to hear a crazy fast version of Cripple Creek, check out the video below! But don't worry, you don't have to play that fast :)
Review Bile 'em Cabbage Down with the improv.
This week at home: practice all of your concert songs! Can you name all 4?
Remember to keep reviewing your note reading when you practice so you no longer have to label the notes! Use your flashcards to quiz yourself OR play the Name That Note game below
A little bit of practice each day goes a LONG way :). 4-5 classes until our Spring Concert ... have fun and make yourself proud!!
Crazy fast Cripple Creek! Can you hear the melody amidst all the other notes?
