Hi 3rd graders!
Here's what we're up to this week:
Practicing keeping a steady beat, while tuning to this drum track!
Then echoing patterns of D, E, F# & G, keeping this steady beat!
Reviewing We Will Rock You and playing a duet - half of the class doing "Stomp Stomp Clap," while the other class plays the song, then switching.
Here's the music you can use to play along to at home!
Then we'll review/play through songs on pages 6-7 using accompaniment from Essential Elements Interactive, the awesome free program you can use at home -- check the inside of your book cover for how to make an account!
Finally, we'll talk about what note is one step higher than G.... A! Violins, violas and cellos can all just go one step higher to their open A string. Basses get to learn a new note: A on the G string! This is one finger on the red tape on the G string. We'll look ahead in the book to pages 8-9 to preview them, and will write down these pages for homework this week.
For a spooky grand finale, we'll play along to this video! Can you do it for your family at home this week?
