Looking for some ideas that use your creativity? Try some of these challenging art activities:

Earthworks

Go for a walk and collect nature items; arrange them to become a work of art (check out Andy Goldsworthy's work as inspiration).

Modern Art

Use a toothbrush, paintbrush, or mop (depending on how big your paper is!) and drip paint (check out Jackson Pollock's work as inspiration). Make sure you do this in a space that is ok to get messy - outside is probably best!

Curator

Go through your old artwork and pick your favorite pieces; mat or frame them and hang or lean them on the wall to create a gallery. Design invitations to an opening night to give to your family and friends. Don't forget to make snacks for your opening event!

Sports Center

Make up a new sport; designate rules, design the court or field, and make the equipment.

Trashion Show

Make a new outfit using any materials found around your house besides fabric.

Junk Drawer

Use junk mail and other recycled paper to create a collage; use other miscellaneous junk to add interest.

Lego Master

Use loose Lego pieces to create an imaginative sculpture without following kit instructions.

Snow Sculptor

Instead of a snowman, sculpt a snow dinosaur, snow train, or whatever you imagine!

Untraditional Painter

Paint a picture without using a paintbrush; try applying paint with string, cotton balls, twigs, toothpicks, a hairbrush or anything else that seems like it might be interesting!

Recycling Engineer

Construct a robot (or anything!) from recycled and reused materials.
