Scott Parseghian:

Coach Parseghian joined the Wayland staff in 1996. A 1992 graduate of Wayland High School, Parseghian played center for Wayland football before moving on to Plymouth State University. After 5 years on the staff, Coach P became the head football coach in 2001. Over the past 24 seasons Coach P has lead Wayland to Seven league titles, two Super Bowls and one state championship in 2006. He is currently the Director of Wellness for Wayland public school system and the assistant wrestling coach.


Sam Breslin:

Coach Breslin joined the Wayland staff in 2009. A three-year starter and two year-captain for Wayland Football, Breslin graduated in 2004. Breslin moved on to Colgate University where he was four-year varsity player playing on both the offensive and defensive time during his tenure. After graduation, Breslin briefly played professionally in Finland before returning to Wayland. Breslin is currently Wayland’s Quarterbacks coach, as well as the offensive coordinator. Breslin owns an online performance company that helps HS athletes become faster and stronger.


Chris Newton:

Coach Newton joined the Wayland staff in 2008. A 1998 graduate of Wayland High School, Newton then moved on to an impressive athletic career at WPI where he was a two-sport captain (football and wrestling). Once Coach Newton joined the Wayland coaching staff has worked with both the freshman and varsity defense. Currently, he is the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator. Newton also works as a nuclear engineer during the day.

 

Kerry Murtagh:

Coach Murtagh joined the Wayland staff in 2012. A graduate of Catholic Memorial, Murtagh attended Boston University. Murtagh has vast and wide experience coaching football at the youth level and at the high school level. Murtagh is the running back’s coach and the linebackers coach, while also serving as the special teams coordinator.

 



Jack O'Rourke- 

Coach O'Rourke Is the newest member to the staff and serves as the JV coach as well as coaching the WRs and the DBs. Coach played high school football at Falmouth high school and college football at Curry College. Jack is a special needs teacher at Framigham high school. 


Freshman:


Sean Chase:

Coach Chase joined the Wayland staff in 2005. A 1995 graduate of Wayland High School, Chase then moved on to Chestnut Hill to attend Boston College. Coach Chase is currently the head freshman football coach and the head varsity wrestling coach. Chase is also a history teacher at Wayland High School.

 

Jeff Brewington:

Coach Brewington joined the Wayland staff in 2016. A 2009 graduate from Wayland High School, Brewington was on Wayland’s 2007 state semifinalist championship team (Playing QB for the warriors) and afterwards went on to play football at Williams College. Coach Brewington is the defensive coordinator of the freshman team and a Math teacher at Wayland High School.
