About Mrs. D.
As a Wayland High School graduate and a Loker School alum, it is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I have rejoined the Loker School community as a teacher! Although this is my sixth year teaching in Wayland, it is my 18th year teaching elementary school. I spent my first three years teaching second grade in Framingham at the Mary E. Stapleton School and then taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades over the past nine years at the Katharine Lee Bates School in Wellesley. I started off teaching kindergarten at Loker, taught first grade for one year and and have spent the past three in kindergarten. It's definitely the grade I love most!
After attending the Wayland Public Schools, I graduated from Wellesley College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. I then received my Masters of Elementary Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Literacy from Lesley University.
I live in Framingham with my husband and our three daughters. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and baking. I also love being outside, taking walks, skiing, doing yoga, and traveling.
I am grateful to teach alongside of Ms. Gaynor and Mrs. Yaker in Room 22. Their love of children, enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and ability to connect individually with students supports the expert instruction they deliver and the relationships they build each day.
