About the Teacher

My name is Emeliza Ciavarro. I am entering my 26th year of teaching. After graduating from Swarthmore College, I spent four years teaching 5th-8th grade English and history at the Springside School for Girls in Philadelphia. After that I taught 5th grade for one year at Bedford Middle School in Westport, CT. Since then I have earned a Master's degree from Lesley University. I taught 5th grade in Wayland for 14 years and am now entering my seventh year of teaching 4th grade.

Working closely with parents, I believe that all of my students can achieve success. I strive to create a classroom in which my students have the following beliefs:
