Wayland Public School Libraries support the district’s commitment to dismantling racist policies and practices that are deeply embedded in our public educational system, disproportionately harming Black and Brown students. The Libraries support all efforts to to end institutional, structural, and systemic racism and inequity in school libraries, and our work is centered on equitable access for all students and staff in the Wayland Public Schools. In addition, our Libraries strive to offer a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for all students, staff, and visitors.
