This year students will experience the following units of study:

• Henry David Thoreau
• Small Moment Narrative Writing
• Story Signposts with the text Granny Torrelli Makes Soup
• "How do families shape who we are?" Literature Circles
• Feature Article Informational Writing
• Elements of Fiction with the text Anything But Typical
• Elements of Fiction Literature Circles
• Poetry
• Mystery (a reading and writing unit)

And students will read 30+ independent reading books!
