DOJO

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! We have so many excited things planned to help your child succeed this year. Last year, Wilson PBIS system showed great success in boosting positive behavior at school and communicating with parents by using Classroom Dojo. Classroom Dojo is used to incorporate our Wilson PBIS system by giving points to students that are going above and beyond in showing the Wilson PAWS expectations and also by giving reminder points to students that are asked to rethink certain choices. Students will be able to receive points during specials, lunchtime, and in other classrooms.

Students will also benefit from using Classroom Dojo through online growth mindset, mindfulness, and other social-emotional learning concept videos and activities. Not only will students be able to have visual access to classroom goals, personal strengths, and motivations for improvement by using their ipads, but parents can also become more involved in their student’s daily school achievements. Once registered, parents will have the ability to view their own child’s daily portfolio, classroom story, and school story. Student portfolios are only viewable to teachers, each individual student, and each individual parent. In student portfolios, parents can see their child’s daily points, along with any specific notes left by a teacher. Classroom stories allow all parents to catch up on classroom projects, notes home, and other important information. School stories give all Wilson parents access to school event information, updates, and student successes! Please be sure to follow the directions provided on the attached sheet in order to keep up with your child’s day-to-day success!
