Welcome to the Renton Composite Squadron, one of the 1414 squadrons in Civil Air Patrol spanning across the United States of America. The Renton Composite Squadron is an Official Auxiliary Unit of the United States Air Force, supporting the three primary missions of Emergency Services, Cadet Programs, and Aerospace Education.
We boast a proud tradition of leadership, service, and excellence. As members of the Renton Composite Squadron, you can have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, build character, and grow as leaders while serving your community and nation.
Over the coming weeks and months following the open house, you will learn about the squadron standard operating procedures and core values that define Civil Air Patrol: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect. You will challenge yourself, make new friends, and gain experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Our squadron is here to support and guide you through the start of your Civil Air Patrol journey. Our dedicated Senior Members and Cadet Staff work collaboratively to guide, mentor, and support all members of the Renton Composite Squadron. Together, they ensure the smooth operation of squadron activities, uphold the values of Civil Air Patrol, and foster a professional environment where cadets can thrive and achieve their goals.

Civil Air Patrol offers a variety of activities that engage and inspire members while building valuable skills. These activities include Orientation Flights, which provide cadets with a hands-on flight that allow them to experience flying in the cockpit and learn about Aerospace Mechanics, or National Cadet Special Activities which offer a variety of week-long opportunities in the fields of aviation training, emergency services, etc. These opportunities allow cadets to explore the aviation world while gaining valuable knowledge and education.
As a Volunteer Organization, Civil Air Patrol offers a meaningful and rewarding way to give back to your community and nation through service that truly makes a difference. Civil Air Patrol offers a variety of community service opportunities. Whether it is supporting local businesses, cleaning up airfields and public installations, or supporting disaster relief missions, Civil Air Patrol has a proud history of volunteer service to the United States. If you are ready to contribute to something greater than yourself, Civil Air Patrol offers the perfect platform to make a lasting impact.
Civil Air Patrol offers unique leadership opportunities and programs that allow cadets to develop leadership skills. Civil Air Patrol immerses cadets in a hands-on leadership experience rooted in discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. These can include Civil Air Patrol’s comprehensive Digital Leadership Curriculum, Character Development Classes, activities like Cadet Officer School or Regional Cadet Leadership School, and Cadet Staff Positions. These real-world leadership experiences prepare cadets to excel in school, careers, and beyond, making it an excellent platform to grow as a leader.
