Overview
The Lymphatic/Immune system is one of many functioning systems in the human body.
keeps out any unwanted diseases and infections from getting into your important body parts.
carries fluid around the body and helps maintain fluid balance
carries bacteria out of our bodies using a blood cell named macrophages, white blood cells that are the first responders to bacteria and infections
The lymphatic system produces lymphocytes, which are a vital type of white blood cell used in the immune system. Although the lymphatic system and immune system are not the same thing, they work closely together. Because the immune system attacks all foreign matter, there are some areas (like the eye) where immune system cells are not allowed to enter.
