We have been getting periodic reports of chromebook microphone issues with students, so I wanted to make you all aware of an issue we discovered. If chromebook microphone volume is set to the maximum it causes issues with the audio cutting out or being completely out. The issue seems to be the worst on the HP and Lenovo 100e chromebooks, but all models are impacted to some degree. If you are having issues with your chromebook microphone, please try adjusting the microphone volume.
If experiencing connection issues, the best option is to connect the Chromebook directly to your Internet (especially if using Zoom). You'll need to use an ethernet cable (make sure to purchase the length you'll need to reach your server) & Ethernet to USB adapter.
