Welcome to Spanish and Social Studies class!  I am excited to be a Spanish teacher at Prairie Elementary .  We are going to have an excellent year.

Our World Language Curriculum 

Kindergarten through 4th grade students receive thirty minutes of World Language instruction, three times in each six-day cycle. Social studies and Spanish standards are integrated into every lesson. Classes are taught 90% in Spanish and 10% in English.  Each year students will also learn about a different Spanish-speaking area of the world.  In fourth grade, students focus on Peru.  Third graders learn about Spain.  Second grade students study Mexico.  First grades focus on Honduras and Kindergartners learn about Cuba.
