Inferno is the 8th grade show choir from Timberline Middle School in Waukee, IA. Students in this ensemble are active in band, drama, athletics, student leadership, and numerous other activities both in and out of school. Dynamite, from Southview Middle School in Ankeny, Iowa, is proud to be a non-auditioned 8th grade show choir and is the first show choir experience for these students. Dynamite 2026 is comprised of 117 singer/dancers, 19 band members, and 16 crew members. Their competitive season consists of Johnston Showzam, Ankeny Centennial Mid-Iowa Show Choir Championships, Waukee Northwest Nightfall, and Pella Dutch Masters. Dynamite's 2026 show "Up & Down" reminds us that we can push through any limitations by believing in ourselves, re-imagining what's possible, and being part of a team that refuses to back down. Dynamite is choreographed by Kevin Chase and Alex Schultz, and is directed by Jill Bjorklund and Nick Oswald. Northview Middle School is proud to present Ignition, our 8th-grade mixed show choir! Meeting every Tuesday and Friday morning, Ignition provides students with their first show choir experience. Runway is the treble show choir from Ralston High School. The group is comprised of 34 singer-dancers and is accompanied by a 20 member student band, “Rampage”. Runway will be competing this season at Standing Bear “The Summit”, Waukee Northwest “Nightfall”, Elkhorn South “Crystal Cup”, Wahoo “Court of Champions”, and Lincoln Northeast “The Rock”. This year’s show is based on the classic children’s story “The Rainbow Fish”. The music teaches us the important lessons of friendship, inclusion, and celebrating what’s special about ourselves. Plymouth High School’s Momentum, proudly takes to the stage in its 11th competitive season. The 48 member ensemble is made up of passionate and dedicated performers who are devoted to spreading joy through their art. Goblins, ghouls and things that go bump in the night - what happens when our camping group comes face to face with their biggest fears? Will they get consumed by the terrors? Our show this year depicts a journey from the heat and turmoil of the desert into a joyful celebration of the arrival of rain. We find strength in the moments that test us most of all. Studio 2026 is the varsity show choir at Urbandale High School. One of seven performing choirs in the award-winning and comprehensive vocal music program at UHS, Studio is an auditioned group of 70 singers, 28 instrumentalists, and 14 crew members. Studio is proud to introduce their 2026 show, Man of La Mancha, the legendary story of the knight-errant Don Quixote and his faithful companions Sancho Panza and Dulcinea del Toboso. The group is directed by Adam Brown; assisted by Brenden Ball, Lisa Tekippe, and Jeff Temple; and choreographed by Kevin Chase and Alex Schultz. Studio 2026 continues a long tradition of excellence in performance. This year, the choir competes at Linn-Mar Supernova, Johnston SHOWZAM!, Waukee Northwest Nightfall, and Norris Fields of Talent. They also co-host the Urbandale Show Choir Invitational with Vitality and Affinity on February 13th and 14th.
