Welcome to the official website for the City of Waubun. Our village of 400 people, is located in beautiful Mahnomen County. The village is surrounded by great fishing lakes & snowmobile trails.
For a town of our size we offer a diverse business community: Dollar General, bank, insurance agency, bar, c-store and gas station, beauty shop, auto repair, building supplies, Waubun Steel, cafe, and several licensed daycare's. We also have a beautiful city park in the center of town. It is open to the public and can be reserved for parties, weddings, family gatherings, and other events.
If you are looking for an indoor space for your event, there is a great community center (with full kitchen) that can be rented.
Our city has amazing residents and great volunteers. WAMO is a volunteer men's organization and WOW is a group for women. We also boast an awesome volunteer fire department Let us not forget, Tom Bement, who volunteers to walk dogs.
