Is this your troupe's first time attending State Thespian Festival? First time attendees qualify for a discount on up to 6 student registrations. Amount of discount is determined on total number of registrations from all schools and will be noted on your final invoice. For reference, New Troupes attending State in 2025 received up to $300 total off their registration invoice.
The following options for financial assistance requests will be available in the State Registration Form:
Very High Need: "We are a designated Title 1/very low income school. We CANNOT attend without additional support for travel and lodging PLUS complimentary registration for up to 6 students and 1 adult. We are happy to volunteer extra in exchange for additional support."
High Need: "We are a designated Title 1/very low income school. Complimentary registration for up to 6 students and 1 adult would make attending possible."
Mixed Need: "We are a mixed income school but not designated Title 1 or very low income. We have access to fundraising or limited surplus department/school budget but complimentary registration for up to 3 students would be helpful if assistance is left over for schools in most need."
No Need: "We're a well-resourced school and can self-fundraise to pay our registration in full."
We Can Help: "Our program can fund one additional Future Thespian registration for another school with high or very high need!"
Other: "We're a well-resourced school but with special circumstances." (Select 'other' in form and describe).

Due to the limited number of available sessions and the increased popularity of our Mainstage Performance, One Act Marathon, and Chapter Select programs, we have separated the completely optional application for these programs from the State Registration Form (Part B). This application is due December 19 but can you do regular registration (due January 23) to participate.
If your troupe would like to bring a Mainstage Dramatic Play, Comedic Play, or Musical, we have just 8 slots available for each category, and 16 slots available for the One Act Marathon. Those in One Act Marathon may also register to be nominated for EdTA's Chapter Select program to perform at the International Thespian Festival.
The application window for these programs is November 3 thru December 19, 2025. In the event more schools apply for a category than there are slots available, our Advisory Board will review submissions and make selections prioritizing variety of stories, larger casts, and having as many schools participate as possible. Ties will be broken by application timestamp. DO apply to bring more than one Mainstage and/or One Act if you have more than one to bring, just know we may not be able to give your school multiple slots.

Download Consent/Accept Form Here! -- 2 Printed Copies REQUIRED for all attendees, including adults.
Bring one set of copies to the Teacher Check-In desk when you arrive at State, distribute the other set to attendees to fold up and stuff inside their name badge. All attendees must wear their name badge with their completed Consent/Accept form inside at all times during the festival.
During Teacher Check Out at the end of State, pick up the second copy of forms and dispose of them securely as they contain personal information about everyone in your troupe!
