North School News
Caregivers;
March is well underway and we are enjoying the milder temps. The students were treated to a field trip to Strykers Bowling Alley. A good time was had by all. This was a PBIS field trip, it had to be earned. As a school, we earned enough Pride Tickets to fill the FishBowl in the office. Also, we paid attention to our behavior in the cafeteria and kept track of how many points were earned for 4 weeks and then tried to earn more points over the next 4 weeks. They were able to raise that score and earned that trip! I was proud of how they worked together to reach our goal.
Our Capturing Kid's Hearts focus this month is on Courage. Having the Courage to be yourself. To stand up to people. To do the right thing. This is a flyer attached to the bottom of this newsletter that will give you some ideas on conversations you could have with your students to support what we are doing here in school.
Science Olympiad participants need to have their T-shirt order money turned in ASAP and no later than March 18, which is the date of our next meeting. Parents and caregivers, please be sure to look at your students congratulations packet and fill out the QR codes attached.
If you have any questions, you may contact Renae Sells, Amanda Zehr, or Ashleigh Bobay at North. As always, thank you for your continued support and involvement in this program.
We are eager to help the Middle School with a shoe drive to collect gently used shoes of all types. There have been some donations coming in and our box is starting to full! As your kiddos outgrow what they have, consider dropping pairs off to the box in the office.
Just a reminder - we go outside for recess until the feels-like temperature is under 15 degrees. Please make sure your students bring appropriate clothing to be outside for 30 minutes. We have a few items that can be borrowed, but students need to bring their own coats and boots. If you need help getting winter clothes, please contact myself or Mrs. Davis.
Please note the the back parking lot is for staff parking and GRSP (preschool) drop off and pick up. It is not intended for pick up for 3-5 students. If you are in that parking lot, there is a good chance you will get blocked in. Preschool parents and staff have the right of way, and you will be asked to move if you are stopping those groups from getting where they need to be.
Please remember that we have added a section to our handbook that asks students not to bring coffee or energy drinks to school. If your student brings one to school, it will be left in the office until the end of the day. Thank you for your support in providing healthy choices for our kiddos.
Thank you for trusting us with your children.

Please press the button and wait for someone in the office to respond.
If you’re signing out your student, the sign out sheet will be available inside the first set of doors.
If you’re needing to come inside the office for any reason, office staff will buzz you in the second set of doors.
Please note that the front doors will lock at 7:50 am, anyone arriving after that time will have to use the new system.
