This book is an excellent choice for anyone who likes mystery/horror books. It has another three books in the series so if you do enjoy it, you can read the rest of the series. I personally recommend this book not only because of the theme, but because of the writer. Katherine Arden has a unique way of writing books, it is detailed and not too vague. All three follow-up books are all around the same length These books each take place during one of the four seasons. This one starts specifically in autumn, known as fall to some.

This book is about mysteries and challenges that the main character, Ollie (Olivia Adler) goes through. She and her class are going on a field trip to a farm until things start going wrong quickly. The bus eventually breaks down on the way back to school. What happens leaves Ollie and her friends scarred forever, cursed with an unforgettable memory.

The thing is, Ollie has a strange life, especially after this. Ollie's mother died a few years ago and she has her mom's watch. This watch is no ordinary watch though. It can help her solve her way through these challenging puzzles and mind games. Will you read it to find out what happens next?

I gave this book 4 stars because, although it is a great book, it could use some editing to make it easier for readers to read. There are a few grammar errors here and there, but otherwise, this book would get 5 stars.
