A Note to Families

Dear Families,

In this site you will find John Trumbull's distance learning videos for reading, phonics and writing for all grade levels! You may notice that the learning videos are not lead by your classroom teacher. At this time, JTPS Literacy Coach, Mrs. Labansky, will be designing lessons and videos as we navigate this new way of teaching and learning. Distance learning is just as new to us as it is to your child! We thank you ahead of time for your understanding as we work through best practice during this distance learning time.

Teachers are continuing to work collaboratively, and remotely, to ensure that we are keeping your children engaged in learning. We are excited to see how your child grows as a reader and writing, as well as, looking forward to seeing how we grow as educators during this time! Each week we will be adjusting our practice to reach all learners at John Trumbull Primary School.

As always, your feedback and child's engagement is most important. Please reach out to your child's teacher if the videos shared are too long, not keeping your child's attention or difficult to navigate. We anticipate our practice evolving each week.
