Meet The Teacher

Hi there and welcome to my classroom website!
My name is Miss Purvis and I am in my eighth year of teaching at Sherman Elementary!  I am a high school graduate of General Brown, and received my masters degree to teach from SUNY Potsdam in Childhood Education. Prior to that, I graduated from Ithaca College and attained a bachelors degree in Sport Management while also playing on the women's lacrosse team (Go Bombers!).  

I am also entering my 3rd season as the Varsity Girls Lacrosse coach here at Watertown. When I am not at work or coaching, I am usually spending time with my four legged bestie, Opie!
